I was born on 8th October 1976, and I graduated in Medicine at University of Padua in 2001, where I specialised in Paediatrics in 2006, with subspecialty in Paediatric Neurology. Later, I did my PhD at University of Padua (“Medicina dello Sviluppo e Scienza della Programmazione”), and in 2010 I undertook a II level Master in Epileptology at University of Ferrara.
I have been doing research in Neuroimmunology since 2010, with focus on immune-mediated encephalitis and epilepsies since 2010, contributing to the creation of a Neuroimmunology research group in Veneto, with prof. Giometto, dr. Zuliani, dr. Zoccarato, dr. De Gaspari and dr. Nosadini.
In the last years, I have collaborated as the coordinator of the Study Group on Autoimmune Epilepsies of the Italian League Against Epilepsy, and I have been part of the Neuroimmunology Study Group of the Italian Society of Paediatric Neurology.
In 2013 I co-founded the Italian Anti-NMDAR Encephalitis Working Group.
Currently, I am an Associate Professor at the Department of Women’s and Children’s Health, University of Padua, where I coordinate the Paediatric Neurology and Neurophysiology programme.
I am a professor at the training programmes in Paediatrics, Child Neuropsychiatry and Rehabilitation of the University of Padua, where I teach Paediatric Neurology and Epilepsy.
I have co-authored over 130 indexed peer-reviewed articles and over 200 proceedings in Paediatrics, Paediatric Neurology, Epilepsy and Neuroimmunology.
